Applicant Privacy Notice

This Applicant Privacy Notice explains the personal information ASK Staffing Inc. and its subsidiaries and affiliates (“ASK Staffing,” “us,” or “we”) collect when you apply for a position at ASK Staffing (via our careers webpage or in person), how we use it, how long we retain it, and with whom we share it. This Notice does not apply to any third-party sites or services not controlled by ASK Staffing (e.g., ziprecruiter.com).

This Privacy Notice applies to the personal information collected from applicants to ASK Staffing. The term “applicant” does not include individuals who have already received a conditional offer.

APPLICABILITY

INFORMATION COLLECTION, USE, AND RETENTION

When you apply for a position at ASK Staffing, we collect or receive personal information at various stages of the application process, as outlined below. We retain this information for seven (7) years, unless otherwise disclosed here or unless you request its deletion.

  1. Application Completion
    • When you apply for a position, we or our recruiters collect:
      • Identifiers such as your name, email address, home/mobile telephone number, and home address.
      • Education information relevant to the job (e.g., educational institutions attended).
      • Professional or employment information (e.g., resume/CV, certifications or licenses, qualifications, employment history, educational history, references).
      • Inferences drawn from these details to assess your suitability for the role.
    • We use this professional or employment information to:
      1. Review your background and skills.
      2. Determine your qualifications for the role you are applying for.
      3. Confirm education details.
      4. Communicate with you regarding your application.
    • We may also collect sensitive personal information (e.g., the last four digits of your Social Security number or date of birth) and health information (e.g., vaccination status) as required by law or to meet client requirements.
    • For equal employment and affirmative action purposes, you may choose to provide certain protected classification information (e.g., gender, race, ethnicity, veteran/military status, age range, disability status). We use this for government reporting, legal compliance, analysis of reasonable accommodations, and recordkeeping about any accommodations provided.
  1. Phone Call, Videoconference, or Interview
    • If you participate in any phone or videoconference calls (including interviews), we may—with your consent—collect physiological characteristics (e.g., a recording of your appearance) and auditory information (a recording of your voice). We use these recordings for staff training and educational purposes or to review your interview performance.
  1. In-Person Interviews
    • If you attend an on-site interview at, ASK Staffing, we automatically capture video recordings of you via CCTV systems on our premises. We use CCTV footage to maintain the safety and security of our personnel and property.
  1. Role-Based Aptitude and Skills Tests
    • If you take a role-specific aptitude or skills test, we collect your responses from our third-party test administrator. We use your responses to form inferences about your abilities and aptitudes to match you to suitable roles.


If you are not hired by, ASK Staffing and do not request deletion of your profile, we will retain the information you provided for 7 years. If you request deletion, we will delete your information unless we are legally required to keep it.

INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY (COOKIES)

In addition to information, you provide, or we collect from third parties, we automatically collect certain internet or other electronic network activity information via cookies and similar technologies when you use our careers webpage. Please review our Cookie Policy to learn more about how your personal information is collected via cookies and other tracking technologies.

INFORMATION SHARING

General Sharing

ASK Staffing may share applicant personal information in these situations:

    • Within ASK Staffing
      • We share applicant data among relevant hiring decision-makers (e.g., HR, client services, senior management, hiring managers) for legitimate business purposes related to recruitment and hiring. Access is granted strictly on a need-to-know basis.
    • For Legal Purposes
      • We share applicant personal information with third parties (e.g., legal advisors, law enforcement, governmental/regulatory bodies) to protect our legal interests, defend against illegal activities or fraud, manage risks, and comply with legal obligations.
    • Corporate Reorganization
      • If ASK Staffing undergoes or plans a business restructure—such as a merger, acquisition, sale, joint venture, reorganization, change of control, bankruptcy, or liquidation—we may share applicant personal information as part of that process.
    • With Third-Party Recruitment Partners (e.g., Curately AI, Inc)
      • Unless you object, we may share your personal information with our recruitment service providers to help evaluate applications.
    • With Our Clients or Managed Service Providers
      • We share applicant information with the entity you applied through and any Managed Service Provider acting as an intermediary between ASK Staffing, you, and our client.

Sharing in the Past Twelve (12) Month

    • For Business Purposes
      n the past twelve (12) months, ASK Staffing has disclosed identifiers, professional or employment information, education information, inferences, sensitive personal information (e.g., the last four digits of your Social Security number or date of birth), and health information (vaccination status) to service providers who assist in the application process (e.g., recruiters, videoconference platforms, cloud services, IT support, recruitment platforms).
    • For Sale or Sharing
      ASK Staffing does not sell or share applicant personal information in exchange for monetary consideration. We may, however, allow certain third-party cookies on our website that could be considered “selling” or “sharing” under some privacy laws. To opt out, please visit our “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” page.

YOUR RIGHTS (CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS)

If you are a California resident, the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) gives you specific rights regarding your personal information, including:

    • Right to Access/Know
      • You can request to know what personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, or sold about you.
    • Right to Deletion
      • You can request that we delete the personal information we have collected or maintain about you, subject to exceptions under applicable law.
    • Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing
      • You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information to third parties. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of minors under 16 years old.
    • Right to Non-Discrimination
      • We will not discriminate against you if you exercise any of the privacy rights described here.
    • Right to Correct
      • You can request we correct any inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.

For requests made by telephone or email, please provide enough detail and verification so we can confirm your identity and properly evaluate your request.

  • Opt-Out Preference Signals
    To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, you can also use an opt-out preference signal in your browser or device. This applies to the specific device or browser you use.

Using an Authorized Agent

If you use an authorized agent to submit any privacy request under the CPRA, we may require proof of that agent’s authority, which can include:

  • Signed permission from you, specifying the request being made.
  • Verification of your own identity (e.g., a copy of a government ID).
  • A valid power of attorney is granted to the agent (if applicable under the California Probate Code).

DO NOT TRACK

We currently do not respond to “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals. You can enable or disable DNT by adjusting your browser’s settings.

INFORMATION SECURITY

ASK Staffing implements and maintains reasonable security measures (e.g., access controls, multi-factor authentication, encryption) to safeguard your personal information from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. However, no online data transmission or storage method can be guaranteed 100% secure.  

PERSONAL INFORMATION OF CHILDREN

Our careers website is not intended for individuals under the age of sixteen (16). If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from an individual under 16, we will delete it. If you believe we may have such information, please contact us at the address below.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY NOTICE

We may update this Privacy Notice at any time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page, indicating the effective date. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or a prominent notice on our application website and request your consent if required by law.
